A CARE Home in Warrington has been bought out - with new owners determined to improve standards.
Dovehaven Care Homes has completed the successful acquisition of Callands Care Home.
The home will become the largest care home within the Dovehaven Group, boasting 120 registered beds.
Since completion, the home is currently unrated, however Callands has a history of an 'inadequate’ rating by the CQC. This has not put Dovehaven off, and the group is dedicated to implementing significant improvements and investments to elevate its standards back to ‘Good’.
A spokesman said: "Dovehaven acknowledges the challenges faced by Callands Care Home and extends their gratitude to the previous owners, HC-One, for their cooperation in ensuring a smooth transition."
The group are particularly enthusiastic about welcoming the dedicated team at Callands Care Home into the Dovehaven family.
The firm says the aim is to bring Callands to the standards of other Dovehaven homes.
Jenny Davies, CEO of Dovehaven Care Homes, said: “We are delighted to welcome Callands Care Home to the Dovehaven family.
"While we recognise the work needed to improve the home's CQC rating, we are confident in our ability to deliver the transformative changes Callands deserves.
"We are committed to investing in the care facility, employee training, and resident well-being programmes to ensure Callands thrives once again.
"We are excited to embark on this journey with the dedicated Callands team and residents, and we look forward to building a bright future together.”
