LANE closures are in place on the M62 near Birchwood as emergency resurfacing repairs are being carried out.
One lane has been closed on the Eastbound side of the carriageway from junction 11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood) to junction 12 M60 J12 (Eccles Interchange) this evening, Friday.
Emergency repair works are being carried out following an earlier incident where a vehicle caught fire.
Traffic was previously at a standstill as emergency services attended the scene of the blaze.
