A PADGATE resident will soon be opening a new bar in the town centre.
After hearing of an empty unit on Suez Street, Cameron Brown had a vision for a new bar.
Named Lickle, Cameron wants the venue to be a safe space where people can be themselves and enjoy a nice drink.
The bar is currently under construction, but the 29-year-old, who has plenty of experience having worked at the former Hop Co on Bold Street, is planning to open it in a few weeks’ time.
He said: “I wanted to try and create a space where I’d want to drink.
“The aim is for Lickle to be a nice place for everyone to have a drink, to listen to good music, to meet up, to chill, and to chat."
As well as supplying beverages from local breweries, there will also be spirits and a range of non-alcoholic options.
“I’d like to make sure that those people who aren’t drinking can still come out and get involved and there will be options for them to have a really nice drink,” Cameron, who is an artist, added.
In the future, Cameron has plans for Lickle, which will be set over two floors, to open in the day, serving the likes of coffee and pastries.
