On the website, The Parr Arms has a PDF of three recommended walks for visitors to do before or after their visit.

5. Seven Woods

Westbrook pub, the Seven Woods, is also rated 4.5 stars and has a play area outside for children to enjoy.

6. Ring O’ Bells

The Ring O' Bells is located in Daresbury and was originally a courthouse in the early 19th century and is rated 4.4 stars on Google reviews.

It’s menu with plenty of options, including burgers cod and chips and steak and ale pie and it even has a two-course meal offer for £16.50 Monday to Thursday.

“The food was exceptional, as were the surroundings and atmosphere,” said one reviewer.

“Had a lovely meal here with the family and the dog, beautiful place with a great vegan menu,” said another.

7. The Cheshire Cheese

The Cheshire Cheese, in Latchford, is rated 4.4 stars on Google reviews and regularly hosts events, including quizzes.

The pub has recently given its function room a makeover, which can be used for birthdays, anniversaries and wedding receptions.

“Lovely pub and one of the few that has retained the traditional look, staff were friendly, and drinks were very reasonably priced,” commented one reviewer.

8. London Bridge Inn

Appleton’s London Bridge Inn is located beside the Bridgewater Canal and offers Sunday roasts with all the trimmings for £15.95.

With regular quiz nights and Wine Wednesdays the London Bridge has a lot of events to offer and is rated 4.3 stars.

“Very nice place to meet friends as the atmosphere is always buzzing,” said one reviewer.

9. Golden Fleece

The Golden Fleece in Lymm is also located beside the Bridgewater Canal and is rated 4.2 stars on Google reviews.
