THE investigation into a serving Cheshire Police officer accused of stalking remains ongoing.
An allegation of stalking was made to police last year, with the officer in question arrested at Northwich Police Station on Friday, December 29.
The officer, whom The Guardian understands to be an inspector in the force's Western area, has been suspended from duty since her arrest.
A Cheshire Police spokesman confirmed this week the investigation continues and the suspend officer remains on bail.
At the time, a police spokesman said: "On Friday, December 29, officers from Cheshire Police arrested a serving officer following allegations of stalking.
"The officer has since been suspended and released on bail pending further enquiries."
