SCHOOLS, groups, or charities in Daresbury could get a share of a £5,000 fund.
The fund has been launched by Redrow and is open to groups and good causes around the area of its development Daresbury Garden Village which is on Delph Lane.
Chris Edwards, area sales manager for Redrow NW, said: “We want to hear from any schools, groups or charities who are looking for funding to help with any projects.
“Community plays a huge part in choosing where to live and we hope this new fund will play a part in forging an ever-stronger sense of community.”
Redrow has already gifted more than £175,000 to neighbourhoods in the north west it has built in since 2015.
This includes a previous £10,000 fund for the Daresbury community in 2022 to coincide with the launch of the garden village. All funds are over and above the statutory investment from Redrow linked to planning consents, such as contributions to education, healthcare, public transport and affordable housing.
Daresbury Garden Village will eventually include 800 homes across 120 acres of land, with open spaces, green corridors and areas for play.
