A SHIPPING container went up in flames in Winwick.
Firefighters attended the scene of the blaze at the Winwick Car Boot site on Townfield Lane at 10.09am this morning, Wednesday.
Fire crews from Warrington and Birchwood were called to the incident, situated at a popular car boot spot in Winwick, where the contents of a shipping container had set on fire.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to tackle the flames.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire Service added: "Crews cleared the contents of the container to ensure the fire was out and wouldn't reignite."
