A MAN has been charged with arson and breaching a restraining order in connection with an incident in Newton-le-Willows.
Police confirmed they have charged a suspect after a fire involving a brick wall at a property on Monday.
Bradley Wood, 33, has been charged with using violence to secure entry to premises, arson and harassment – breach of a restraining order on conviction.
Wood, of Burrows Avenue, Haydock, is due to appear before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (May 7).
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We have charged Bradley Wood, 33, of Burrows Avenue, Haydock, with arson, harassment – breach of a restraining order on conviction and using violence to secure entry to premises.
"He was remanded into custody."
