THE overall turnout in the Warrington Borough Council election has been confirmed.
The figure for the election – which took place on Thursday – totalled 30.85 per cent.
Results were declared at Birchwood Community Hub on Saturday.
Labour retained control of the council and increased its majority by six.
Following the election, the make-up of the council is 42 Labour councillors, 12 Liberal Democrat councillors, 3 independent councillors, 1 Conservative councillor.
The average voter turnout in the council elections in May 2021 totalled approximately 36.3 per cent.
