BENTS Garden Centre has donated a staggering £34,266.80 to its 2023 charity partner, Motor Neurone Association.
The Glazebury Garden Centre hosted a number of fundraising events for the charity throughout the year.
“We’d like to say a huge tank you to all our customers and colleagues who have helped throughout the year to make our fundraising campaign for MNDA such a success,” said Matthew Bent, managing director at Bents Garden and Home.
“Not only are we able to present the charity with this fantastic donation, but we also hope this year’s partnership has helped to raise awareness of MND and help all those living with or affected by the condition.”
A team from the MNDA South Lancashire branch visited Bents to accept the donation, which will be used to support the charity’s extensive care programme and network of 22 care centres.
They were also joined by Helen Crowther from Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), which will be Bents’ 2024 Charity of the Year.
CAFT offers day visits and residential breaks to young children who have suffered hardships and is based in Millington.
“We are now looking forward to working with Helen and the team at CAFT,” said Matthew.
“I have no doubt our colleagues and customers will once again take up the challenge and help us raise an incredible amount for this fantastic local charity.”
