A FOOD hygiene company with a base in Warrington has received a prestigious award for its commitment to sustainability.
Christeyns Food Hygiene (CFH) is an international food hygiene specialist that provides products and services that ensure compliance with procedures and industry codes of practice.
The company has a base in Warrington, in Winwick Quay, which employs around 70 members of staff.
In Warrington, the company manufacture hygiene products and supplies solutions for safe cleaning and disinfection of food and beverage plants across the UK.
CFH was recently awarded the EcoVadis Gold Meal for its commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices following an evaluation.
EcoVadis, which is the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings, carried out the assessment, evaluating the company’s sustainability performance across different criteria.
Christeyns in the top 5 per cent worldwide of companies recognised with this award.
“At Christeyns Food Hygiene, we have long been conscious of the impact that our products and services have on the environment and on our customer’s operations,” said Chris Bayliss, UK sales director for CFH.
“This award is recognition and validation of the long-term efforts we have in place to ensure and support food safety and hygiene in our customer’s sites in a sustainable way for now and the future.”
