AN inquest has opened into the death of a missing man who was found dead in Houghton Green.
He was found on Radley Common by a dog walker on April 11, this year, Cheshire Coroner’s Court heard on Wednesday.
The 44-year-old had been reported missing by concerned family members, the hearing was told.
Officers from Cheshire police and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service had been called to the scene after the alarm was raised.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 10.57am on Thursday, April 11, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man on Radley Lane, Warrington.
“Officers attended the scene and sadly a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
Victoria Davies, area coroner for Cheshire, opened the inquest and adjourned the case until August 2.
An internal review will be held on June 23.
