A DISUSED pub in Longford is set to be demolished and replaced by 14 new homes - if plans are approved.
A new development plan has been submitted to Warrington Borough Council to demolish The Poplars pub and replace it with new housing.
The pub went up for sale in February 2023 for £425,000 after closing, and a plan submitted by K & L Properties Ltd proposes building 14 new houses – with 32 parking spaces.
The new townhouses would be arranged into three blocks, each have three bedrooms and a five-person occupancy.
The application shows that the site will have a more contemporary appearance if the plan were to be approved.

Each house will be either terraced or semi-detached and build with red-multi brick and a grey tiled roof.
Electronic vehicle charging points have also been proposed for each dwelling.
The application was submitted to Warrington Borough Council this week and is awaiting approval.
