THERE are long queues headed eastbound on the M62 this afternoon, Tuesday, after a stranded vehicle has caused chaos on the motorway approaching rush hour.
A stranded vehicle has caused two lanes of the busy motorway in Warrington to be closed, leading to 20 minutes of delays.
According to traffic monitoring system INRIX, this is due to a broken-down vehicle stuck between Junction 11, Birchwood, and Junction 12, Eccles Interchange.
Messages on the motorway warn of queuing, with Traffic England predicting of a more temperate 15 minutes of delays.
Traffic is expected to resume to normal conditions by rush hour, however this is subject to change.
