A WIRE stalwart has officially opened a new ‘centre for excellence’ on a Warrington retail park.

Former Warrington Wolves and England forward Paul Wood was the guest of honour at The Sleep Haven on Riverside Retail Park.

The firm occupies the final unit on the northern row, at the corner joined with the eastern row, which was formerly occupied by Bed Shed.

As one of just six centres for excellence around the UK, The Sleep Haven’s floor displays include the Mammoth’s comfort collection.

These feature medical grade foam technology originating in healthcare and backed by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Mammoth’s products are useful for athletes and sports stars ‘looking to optimise performance, improve sleep and accelerate recovery’.

After testing Mammoth products, Paul said: “Throughout my playing career and in my role as health and wellbeing project manager for Rugby League Cares, I have always valued the importance of sleep.

“Quality rest and recovery underpins all aspects of daily life – whether you are looking to perform on the pitch, be more productive in your desk job or just protect your mental health.

“Having had a chance to test out the full range of mattresses and pillows here at The Sleep Haven and learn more about the science of comfort from the knowledgeable team, I am excited to see how my sleep quality improves over time.”

Speaking at the launch, Sleep Haven managing director Alan Williams said: “We are delighted to launch our Mammoth centre for excellence.

“As a store that prides itself on delivering exceptional service and choice to our customers, it feels like a natural fit for us to feature Mammoth’s award-winning range, with its extensive scientific testing and recognised partnerships in sport and healthcare.
