A PRIMARY school has raised money in memory of Brianna Ghey.
Culcheth Community Primary School held a whole week dedicated to mental health.
During this, pupils suggested activities that they would like to do.
One of the suggestions was to raise funds for a mental health charity.
The school council decided to fundraise for Peace in Mind campaign due to the ‘tragedy’ that happened in their own village.
A day of circus skills was held, as well as a day of hula hopping, and children made cakes for local residents as random acts of kindness.
An own clothes day was also held.
In total, an impressive £240 was raised for Peace in Mind.
“The whole week was a great success with the children thinking of ways to be kind to others as well as thinking about how exercise and fun activities can promote positive mental health,” said head teacher Amanda Dodd.
