TWO Warrington hotels have been praised as being ‘hidden gems’ and ‘jewels’ in the crown of Warrington by customers.
Recent TripAdvisor reviews have lavished approval on the boutique accommodations in Warrington town centre.
One highly thought of hotel was Parr's Bank, on Winwick Street, which is ranked the 10th out of 23 hotels in Warrington on Trip advisor, with an average rating of four-and-a-half-out-of-five among more than 50 reviewers.
The hotel opened 10 modern and stylish bedrooms in August last year, with the final five finished in January.
One review, entitled ‘most stunning hotel in Warrington’, read: “What a surprising, wonderful hotel stay in Warrington. I can honestly say that this is the best hotel in Warrington.
“The building itself is the old Parr’s Bank, tastefully renovated without compromising the character of the building.
“The rooms are spotlessly clean and modern yet full of character. Every detail has been thought through from climate control to blackout blinds, comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms.
“The piece de resistance was the cooked breakfast created by Pablo, the resident chef. Impossible to describe, you just have to try it to believe it.
“I met the owners who were wonderfully interesting and hospitable. If you are thinking of staying in Warrington, do not book any other hotel.”
Others described it as a ‘jewel of a hotel’ and a ‘hidden gem’, with the latter review stating: “What a fantastic hotel.
“Stayed here for one night with my wife. We were unexpectedly upgraded on arrival, which was a pleasant surprise.
“The building was once a bank, so it has lovely big spaces on the ground floor. Our room was excellent, really spacious, with a big bed and plenty of room.
“There was a lovely modern bathroom with a shower. I had probably the best sleep I have had in a while. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean.
“Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of different foods. If we find ourselves ever staying in Warrington, we will definitely be booking a room here.”
Also receiving praise was The Old Post Office on Palmyra Square, which also has an average rating of four-and-a-half-out-of-five among reviewers.
One wrote: “Great hotel near to Parr Hall and the town with a flare of sophistication. Our room was clean, warm and spacious.
“It had a lovely modern decor and a proper comfy bed with loads of new pillows. The bathroom was warm and the shower was really hot.”
Another review entitled ‘stylish gemstone in the heart of Warrington’ stated: “I cannot fault this hotel at all.
“It is the ideal location in the more prominent part of Warrington, with walking distance to the town centre, beauty parlours and many restaurants and opportunities to go shopping.
“We could tell that they put high emphasis on customers and would go the extra mile to ensure customers are happy.
“The rooms are super stylish, quiet, with daily room service and extremely clean, which was one of the aspects that made it even more comfortable for us.
“We will certainly be back every time we visit our family in Warrington.”
