A YOUNG teenager from Lymm interviewed some of the world’s biggest stars at this year's Baftas.
Braydon Bent, a 14-year-old presenter from Lymm, hosted EE’s Red Carpet on Sunday, February 18, with the young phenom interviewing some of the premiere actors in Hollywood.
The former Oughtrington Primary School pupil has a regular spot on Sky News, and in the past has interviewed such names as Sir Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Tom Grennan, Tom Hiddleston, and a whole host of Premier League football players.
On Sunday night, among others, Braydon spoke to Richard E Grant, Emma Mackey, and Oscar nominee Sandra Hüller.
As well as this, the 14-year-old interviewed Lashana Lynch, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Daisy Edgar Jones, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and even nominees Phoebe Dynevor (Fair Play) and Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me).
Braydon was joined in his interviewing by 11-year-old Elsie Adams from Edinburgh, with both Elsie and Braydon being former winners of the BAFTA’s Young Presenters Competition, with Elsie winning last year and Braydon winning the category in 2017.
This follows the launch of EE’s 'The Stage is Yours' campaign, which delves into the mindset of secondary school children, shining a light on the importance of the arts for life outside the classroom.
The campaign focuses on liberating learning from the classroom, with former EE Rising Star and star of Top Boy, Micheal Ward as well as other well-known actors and influencers creating a series of confidence-building digital workshops via EE’s LearnSmart platform.
Braydon has previously said of his presenting career: “If it all stopped tomorrow, I would be delighted with everything I have got to do. I would love to continue it, that would be the dream.”
