ENQUIRIES into death of a 33-year-old man in Rainhill have now concluded.
Officers received a report at around 2.40am on Monday, February 19 that a 33-year-old man had sustained injuries inside a house on Warrington Road.
The man was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed.
The cause of death is not suspicious and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
A cordon of around 20 metres long was in place across Warrington Road in the centre of Rainhill village, meaning a number of businesses had to remain closed yesterday.
