PLANS to resurface an Appleton primary school’s car park and create new parking spaces have been submitted.
An application proposing the resurfacing of the car park, creation of new parking spaces, creation of a new bin storage compound, installation of hard standing, fence and gate, and the resurfacing of the internal courtyard, at St Monica’s Catholic Primary School, on St Monica’s Close, has been put forward.
The design and access statement says this project is required to ‘increase the area for staff parking’ within the site boundary and to ‘provide a soft play surface for children within the courtyard area’.
It also states that the aim of the proposal is to increase the number of spaces within the site boundary, to ‘alleviate’ the number of cars parking outside of the school boundary.
