A TRAFFIC survey on a busy estate will be repeated after it was carried out when the nearest high school was closed.
The survey in Whittle Hall, which has long been demanded by residents concerned about the impact of extra housing and school traffic, was carried out earlier this month when Great Sankey High School was partially closed due to storm damage.
Residents got in touch with the Warrington Guardian to voice their fears.
One, who did not wish to be named, said: "It is typical, the council agrees to do a survey and then comes when there is no traffic.
"It was widely publicised that the school was closed so why come now.
"I imagine it will be months again, if ever, that somebody comes back."
However a Warrington Borough Council spokesman confirmed the survey will be carried out soon.
Great Sankey High School is set to fully reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, after half term and seeing work completed.
The spokesperson said: “A traffic survey was carried out earlier this month by an external provider on behalf of the council, however on the date of the survey there was an unforeseen school closure.
“We have requested that the survey be undertaken after February 20, when the school is expected to re-open. Officers will ensure the school has reopened before the survey is carried out.”
