A POLICE car crashed en route to an emergency.
Cheshire Police officers were responding to a 'grade one emergency' when they collided with another vehicle.
A grade one emergency is the highest priority and includes situations where there is a danger to life, threats of violence, a crime in progress, an offender has been detained or where there has been serious damage to property.
Crews are expected to arrive at the scene of such incidents within 15 minutes of it being reported.
However, while on the way, the marked police car collided with a Mini Cooper on the slip road off the A556 onto Whitegate Road in Hartford.
This happened at midday on Tuesday (February 13), with the scene cleared by around 1pm.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Cheshire Police were asked for more information about the grade one emergency the officers were responding to.
However, at this time the incident has not been formally logged.
