A MURDER suspect wanted in connection with a brutal stabbing outside a Spanish bar was arrested in Northwich.

Albanian national Florian Rama is wanted for the murder of a 24-year-old Moroccan man, Soufian Mhara, who was stabbed to death outside a bar in Salceda de Caselas, Galicia, in 2019.

Mr Mhara died after he was was stabbed three times following an argument inside the bar.

Rama was arrested by Northwich police on Highfield Avenue, Lostock Gralam, on Saturday, January 6, after a report of concerns for a woman’s safety.

The 30-year-old tried to evade officers but was arrested and charged.

He pleaded guilty to one count of resisting arrest at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 11, and was given a conditional discharge.

However, he was remanded in custody on an international warrant, and has since been extradited.

Reports abroad suggest Rama is believed to be connected to drug trafficking and organised crime.
