POLICE have named a man charged with dealing illegal drugs after officers executed a warrant.

At around 11am on Tuesday, officers from Cheshire Police executed a warrant at an address on Alder Lane in Orford.

Two men and one woman, all from the local area, were arrested, and a number of items were seized following a search of the address.

These included approximately £20,000 in cash and a large quantity of heroin, with an estimated value of around £11,000.

A 49-year-old man was being held in police custody and questioned by officers, with the force confirming that he has since been charged.

Ben Whitelock-Wainwright, of Alder Lane, was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely heroin, and possession of criminal property.

He has since been remanded in custody to appear before Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, March 14.

A 22-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of heroin were released on conditional bail.

Cheshire Police confirmed that the raid was conducted as a result of information from the community.

It said: “Intelligence supplied by members of the public is vital, and anyone with any information about suspected drug-related activity in their community to get in touch.”
