A CAR dealership is set for a facelift after plans for new signage were given the green light.
Warrington Borough Council’s planning department has granted advertisement consent to applicant Kia UK.
The car giant had submitted an application for permission to install nine signs at its garage on Manchester Road in Paddington.
These are to be a mix of illuminated and non-illuminated signs.
The site has been in use as a car showroom since 1990.
Originally a dealership for Mitsubishi, Subaru and Ssangyong, the current facias on the building and a totem sign display the logos for these manufacturers.
Two of the signs are freestanding totems, with the remainder being facias on the building.
The signage is part of a rebranding of the dealership to Kia branding and follows a previous application for an extension to the building.
No objections were submitted against the plans, with planners subsequently granting permission.
