CREWS rushed to tackle a house fire in Warrington last night, Tuesday, which led to people being evacuated.

Firefighters were called to a kitchen blaze on Queens Crescent in Paddington just after 5pm.

Two fire engines from Birchwood and Lymm attended the scene.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which was contained to the kitchen.

Two people had evacuated the property and were checked over by crews.
