WOOLSTON'S Rope and Anchor has announced it will close its doors to undergo an expensive refurbishment.
According to the pub's social media account, the pub will be closed from the end of January until sometime in March.
As per a previous post on social media, the Rope and Anchor is set to undergo a refurbishment - to the tune of £450,000.
This is not the first time the pub has temporarily closed its doors in recent months, with the watering hole briefly shutting down last year.
At the time, this was because the pub had been on the market for a number of months and had not been snapped up.
However, the new management team took over and the pub reopened in time for Christmas - though the new landlords posted on social media explaining that there would be a refurbishment coming.
Now, the pub has confirmed when its doors will close for the remodelling work to take place.
Posting online, the management team said: "We will be shutting on Saturday, January 27, 11pm until early March - dates of opening will follow and also pictures of the works."
The pub also confirmed it will be expanding its staff: "We will be recruiting for 'Team Rope.'
"Chefs, bar persons, waiting-on staff, pot washers, kitchen assistants and cleaners - it will be part-time and full-time hours."
