STARS of beloved British sit-com The Royle Family, Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston will stage a special show to celebrate 40 years on screen together.
They will head to Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot on Friday, February 16 as the venue hosts An Audience with Ricky Tomlinson & Sue Johnston.
Ricky and Sue, who was born in Padgate, rose to stardom in the iconic soap opera Brookside before going on to become the beloved Jim and Barbara Royle in The Royle Family.
Their performances as the Royles spanned over a decade, ensuring the show became (and remained) one of Britain’s most beloved comedies.
The duo will take to the Cockpit Theatre stage for an evening of raucous laughter, sharing tales and memories from their years in show business.
For Sue it will be something of a homecoming, as she grew up in Prescot.
General on-sale tickets for An Audience with Ricky Tomlinson & Sue Johnston go on sale Friday January 12 at 10am.
