EXCITED residents captured selfies with the cast of Brassic as the Sky One film crew took over a street in Orford for the day.
Filming of the sixth series of the comedy drama is under way and Warrington was chosen as a location to shoot some scenes – much to the excitement of locals.
Film crew trucks lined Tomlinson Avenue and surrounding areas yesterday, Tuesday.
While famous faces from the cast were spotted on the scene, including This is England star Joseph Gilgun who plays main character in the series Vinnie O’Neil.
Gilgun was a hit with locals, with many posting their selfies on social media and expressing the warm interactions they had had with him throughout the day.
One resident said the actor, who also played the much-loved character of Rudy in E4’s Misfits, was a ‘top fella’, while another said, ‘as funny as he is on the show in person’.
Actor Neil Ashton who plays the character of Davey MacDonagh in the show was also taking pictures with fans of the show while filming took place on the Orford street.
Other areas of Warrington were also used for filming, including Orford Park and Long Lane.
It is rumoured that more filming is taking place today too in a new unconfirmed location.
