IT has been a busy year for Warrington’s food scene.

Many new restaurants have opened in the town.

From steak houses to Chinese restaurants to Tex-Mex food, each new venue is offering something completely different.

So in 2024, here are 10 new eateries you can try:

Pendergast

Pendergast is based inside The Hive on Cairo Street.

The new steakhouse opened its doors back in September.

As well as a range of the highest-quality prime steak cuts, the new menus feature a range of small plates and lighter bites.

Yum Cha

This Chinese restaurant with ‘rave reviews’ opened on Time Square in December.

Yum Cha offers mouthwatering dim sum and Hong Kong-style street food.

You can find delicious roasted meats, steamed and fried dumplings, rice, dim sum, curry, noodle dishes, and a superb selection of cocktails there, all at an affordable price.

The Indian Courtyard

The Indian Courtyard opened in Stockton Heath in December.

It claims to offer the ‘finest Indian dining experience’.

Based on Walton Road, The Indian Courtyard prides itself on serving delicious and freshly made food. And it grinds all of its own spices on the premises for the best possible flavours.

Lokal Gastro Bar

Lokal Gastro Bar is based on London Road and opened in December.

It is described as a place where ‘every dish is a piece of home’ and the food is served with passion and care.

It offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as craft beer, wines, and cocktails.

Zeytin

Zeytin opened in April, bringing Bridge Street ‘back to life’.

It offers the best dishes from the ‘heart of Turkey’.

Zeytins serves Mediterranean food with a Turkish twist. It has an extensive menu and something for ‘everyone’s budget’.

Guroma Bangladesh Street Food

Guroma Bangladesh Street Food opened at Warrington Market in September.

It serves an authentic selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan Bangladeshi dishes.

As well as wraps, rice dishes, and Bangla bowls, Guroma’s menu also consists of mouthwatering masala fries, shingara fried dumplings, Dhal Puri flatbread stuffed with spiced lentils and Tandoori chicken wings.

Tapas Del Mundo

This eatery opened on London Road in Stockton Heath in the summer.

It offers freshly cooked world-famous tapas and à la carte dishes.

Diners at Tapas Del Mundo can expect an ‘amazing menu’ and ‘service with a smile’.

Taco Bell

The Tex-Mex restaurant opened in November.

Based on Old Market Place, Taco Bell offers eat-in and takeaway options.

It serves a variety of Mexican-inspired foods, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos, as well as a variety of value menu items.

La Cuccina

La Cuccina opened in Warrington Market’s Cookhouse back in March.

It is headed by a passionate chef whose aim was to offer a ‘taste of Italy’ to Time Square.

The treader offers a range of tasty homemade dishes ranging from pasta to Cicchetti – a traditional Venetian delicacy that is sold along the canals of Venice.

Little India at The Ring O’ Bells.

The Ring O’ Bells on Church Street was renovated back in April after it closed following a major flood.

It reopened with not only a new look but also a twist after teaming up with Azid Miah to offer Little India at The Ring O’ Bells.

As well as being a place to enjoy drinks, it offers delicious Indian food.
