A POPULAR Warrington beauty spot is set for a new year revamp.
Ackers Pit in Stockton Heath is a popular spot for anglers, walkers and dog walkers.
But it will close in early January with no public access between January 8 and January 22.
This is to allow Stockton Heath Parish Council to put in a new pathway to improve the walkway for visitors.
It can become waterlogged and muddy in poor conditions.
A notice says: "Adverse weather may mean a longer closure but we are hopeful this two weeks will be the closure period.
"The decision to close the area for the duration of the works was made in order to comply with health and safety of our residents."
