A SUSPECT has been named after being charged over a crash involving five vehicles.
It was reported earlier this week that a woman had been arrested following a collision on Thelwall New Road.
The incident occurred shortly before 8.30pm on Tuesday, involving two moving vehicles and three parked cars.
A woman has now been named by Cheshire Police after being charged with drink-driving in relation to the incident, and she will appear in court in January.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “A woman who was arrested following multiple collisions near Latchford Locks has now been changed.
“At 8.25pm on Tuesday, December 13, police were called to reports of an incident on Thelwall New Road.
“Officers attended the scene and found that a blue Fiat 500 had collided with one moving vehicle – a white Ford Fiesta – and three parked cars – a white BMW, a red Fiat 500x and black Ford Puma.
“The driver of the Fiat, a 28-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving.
“Beth Clark, of Tudor Close, Grappenhall, has since been charged with the offence and released on bail.
“She is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 17.”
