Despite inclement weather and strong winds, the village came alive with festive feeling for the annual event yesterday, Saturday.
Residents could be seen in Victorian dress, with the voices of school choirs filling the winter air and morris dancers taking to the streets.
Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival was established 30 years ago by a number of traders in the village, as a way to help increase footfall among the village retailers in the darker winter months.

Since then, the event, run by a small group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, has grown in size and popularity, and it is now an important part of the Lymm events calendar.
Highlights from the day include a Santa dash and grand parade.
