A NURSERY has raised more than £700 for a charity set up in memory of a toddler from Warrington who died unexpectedly in his sleep.
Friends of Frankie was launched by Sarah and James Grogan following the sudden death of their son Frankie in May 2019.
The pupil of Cobbs Infant and Nursery School in Appleton was found unresponsive in bed aged only three years.
Since his tragic passing, Sarah and James set up the Friends of Frankie charity in the hope of funding further research into sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC).
Earlier this month, Kids Planet Stretton held a Christmas Fair to support the charity.
An impressive £705 was raised on the day with several stalls, a tombola, reindeer food, hot chocolate, bauble decorating, and games.
Even Father Christmas himself paid a visit.
Sarah Foster, nursery manager at Kids Planet Stretton, said: “It was a lovely, fun-filled, and successful day for everyone, and I would say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event especially the team who gave up their Saturday.
“We are all really proud to have raised this amount of money for such a fantastic and important charity.”
