POLICE are appealing for help from members of the public in a bid to trace a wanted man.

Cheshire Police want to locate Ashley Shah, who is wanted for failing to attend Warrington Magistrates' Court.

The 34-year-old was due to appear before the court on a charge of drink-driving.

It is alleged that, on September 9, he drove a Vauxhall Astra on Winwick Road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 57 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

Shah, from Stalybridge, is described as being white, of a proportionate build, around 5'7" tall, with short, shaven hair and brown eyes.

He also has links to the Bury and Prestwich areas in Greater Manchester, as well as the West Mercia area, Cheshire Police says.

Anyone with any information about Shah's whereabouts should call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting 23000964063, or visit cheshire.police.uk
