A MAN has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being hit by a lorry on a busy road in Warrington.
Just after 8.25pm last night, Wednesday, police were called to reports of a crash between a HGV and a pedestrian on Winwick Road.
Officers attended along with paramedics and a 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head and facial injuries – though they are not believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed near to Floyd Drive while the incident was dealt with.
It was reopened by 12.40am today, Thursday.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
