AN inquest has opened into the death of an 18-year-old man who was hit by a train in Warrington.
Just before 1.15pm on Saturday, November 18, police were called to Padgate Station following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
A large emergency service presence attended, but sadly Harry Mark Dunicam was pronounced dead at the scene.
Yesterday, Wednesday, an inquest was formally opened into his death at Warrington Coroner’s Court.
It was heard how Mr Dumican, of Kingsway, sadly died as a result of his injuries.
Senior coroner for Cheshire Jacqueline Devonish set an inquest date for February 28 next year.
It was heard that an inquest was required due to the cause of death being unnatural.
Following Mr Dumican’s death, tributes were left at Padgate Station including flowers, cards, and sports shirts.
One read: One reads: "You were only here for a short time but you brought love and happiness to everybody.
"You will be missed dearly by all."
