A BEAUTIFUL Staffy has been put up for adoption after their heartbroken owner moved into sheltered accommodation.

Warrington Animal Welfare has posted pictures of the dog, named Storm, after his owner was forced to surrender the poor pup.

The eight-year-old dog has been struggling in kennels, with the shelter saying the dog has been hurting his nose on the kennel door as he tries to get out.

Posting the dog on Facebook for prospective owners, the shelter has said Storm will need a home where is the only pet, and an active owner to take him on walks.

Further, he can be slightly reactive to dogs he doesn’t know, however, is described as being ‘good in the home, house trained, his recall is okay and he is a good traveller’.

The shelter said of his surrendering to them: “His owner loved him so much but sadly had to surrender him as he was moved to sheltered accommodation.

“It was a heartbreaking decision. Storm deserves another chance of happiness.

“He is a very lovable, well behaved dog who is finding it so hard in kennels.

“As you can see [pictured below] he keeps hurting his nose on the kennel door trying to get out.”
