WARRINGTON was turned into a Winter Wonderland at the weekend.
Crowds packed the town centre for a free celebration on Saturday and Sunday.
Organised by the Warrington Bid team, with support from Culture Warrington and Warrington Borough Council, the event saw Christmas markets, a festive parade and the Town Hall was illuminated.
Youngsters got to meet the Grinch and take part in craft and other cultural activities in the former Marks and Spencer unit.
While local artists Erica Wilkinson and Lauren Muir with support from Warrington and Vale Royal College students, created a Narnia themed winter wonderland installation with live performance.
In Golden Square a variety of choirs took to the stage to create the perfect Christmas musical setting.
Father Christmas was in town as well and joined a lantern parade to the Town Hall on Saturday night
