A FREE programme to help Warrington's talented young athletes has launched again.

LiveWire, has opened applications for its esteemed Talented Athletes Programme. The initiative offers unparalleled support and training opportunities to young, promising athletes, completely free of charge.

Focused on athletes over the age of 14, successful applicants will be awarded a free annual leisure membership, allowing them access to LiveWire's extensive range of facilities.

LiveWire also gives selected athletes bespoke training programmes which are meticulously tailored to meet the specific requirements of each athlete's sport, alongside providing general lifestyle advice to support their overall development.

Cheryl Siddall, interim chief operating officer at LiveWire, said: “Having supported numerous local, aspiring athletes over the years, we're excited to continue this tradition.

"We encourage potential applicants to seize this opportunity, which offers access to our state-of-the-art facilities and expert staff guidance. Our goal is to help develop the best of Warrington’s talent, contributing to the emergence of future Olympians, Paralympians, and elite sportspeople.”

Applications are welcomed from both previous and new candidates, with a deadline set for Friday, December 8. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

n Reside in or represent a sports club in Warrington.

n Compete in a sport recognised by Sport England.

n Be aged 14 or over.

n Ideally, represent their county or country at Junior or Senior level.
