NEW Warrington Wolves coach Sam Burgess paid his respects at Warrington's Remembrance Sunday service.
Burgess laid a wreath alongside chairman Stuart Middleton at the annual event at the Bridge Foot war memorial.
Hundreds of people, young and old, gathered for the moving service shortly before 11am.
Junior cadets and veterans of conflict also took part in the service.
While hundreds joined the parade from the Town Hall to Bridge Foot.
Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Steve Wright, said: “It’s so important that we never forget the sacrifices made by so many during times of conflict.
"Remembrance Sunday gives us the opportunity to stand with others across the country to honour all those who have sacrificed so much, and to pay tribute to our armed forces, both past and present.”
