WARRINGTON Borough Council has announced which households will have their bins collected next week.
Refuse collectors have been on strike in Warrington as part of a national pay and conditions dispute on behalf of the trade union UNITE.
However, the council has called for the strikes to end due to UNITE agreeing to accept a national pay offer - though the union has said strikes in Warrington will continue.
In the latest wave, it was announced that the current strike will end on Monday, November 6, and another bout will begin on Wednesday, November 8 - this will last until November 20, it is planned.
The council has issued an update today, Friday, regarding bin collections that are planned for Tuesday, November 7.
It reads: "We are hopeful that on Tuesday, November 7, we will be able to send bin crews out.
"Crews will focus on the collection of black and blue bins for those households who normally have their bins emptied on Tuesdays.
"If this applies to you, please leave your black and blue bins out.
"We appreciate and regret that many other households, who do not normally have their bins collected on Tuesdays, will not have their bins emptied on Tuesday, November 7.
"We understand that given the prolonged and unsettled period caused by the bin strikes, green and blue bins have remained unemptied for several weeks."
Tips in Warrington remain open, with Woolston, Gatewarth and Stockton Heath having extended their opening hours amid strike action.
