CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to rescue someone trapped in a car in Walton today, Friday.
The person needed rescuing after they became stuck in flood water, the fire service's incident log reads.
According to the incident log: "A person was trapped in a car in flood water on Park Lane in Warrington.
"Firefighters used a ladder to help assist the person from the vehicle."
The incident involved a fire engine being deployed from Birchwood Fire Station.
Storm Babet has also seen flooding take place in other areas of Warrington, too.
Oughtrington Lane in Lymm has flooded, which has resulted in school buses to and from Lymm High School this afternoon needing to be delayed and diverted.
According to a social media post on behalf of Warrington's Own Buses: "Change of service for Lymm High School because Oughtrington Lane is closed for flooding.
"Buses will pick up from the A56 with the school bringing the pupils up to the buses.
"There will be a delay getting home as we have to turn at the M56 roundabout to come back to Warrington."
An amber weather warning has been issued for rain in the region by the Met Office, as well as a yellow weather warning in the north west for wind, too.
Northern has also warned passengers to check for travel updates before they begin their rail journeys during Storm Babet.
