FIRE crews have rushed to help after a man found their leg caught in tractor machinery.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service have sent four response units to an address on Arley Road in Appleton after reports of β€˜an incident in which a casualty was trapped by the leg in tractor machinery.’

These reports were sent at 1.16pm today, Wednesday.

Three fire engines were sent from Lymm, Warrington, Winsford, as well as a rapid response vehicle from Winsford.

Crews used airbags and spreaders in order to release the victim from the machinery.

The man was then taken to hospital by an air ambulance.
