THE cost to fill up your car with petrol or diesel is again on the rise amid current events in Middle East.

While fuel prices remain lower than in 2022, statistics show there has been an increase in fuel prices since August this year due to inflation and conflict overseas.

Supply restrictions in the Middle East are causing oil prices to increase, as is the continued war in Ukraine.

Economic secretary to the Treasury, Andrew Griffith MP, told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “It is certainly not going to help, but we have seen fuel prices come down from where they were a year ago.”
