A NEW venue in the town centre offering fun activities such as axe throwing has applied to serve alcohol.
Level Up is the ‘brain child’ of two Warrington brothers Phillip and Michael Knight and is based on Buttermarket Street.
The venue, which is set over two floors in the former home of Warrington Youth Club’s gym, offers a wide variety of games.
These include 18-hole crazy golf, axe throwing, and archery.
There is also a retro gaming room, a pool table, a mini arcade, retro consoles and an open room virtual reality experience.
Now, a public notice has been published detailing Level Up’s application to sell alcohol to visitors on the premises.
Level Up has been in the works for around nine months after Philip and Michael decided they wanted to open a venue in the town to offer residents a fun-filled day out with their family and friends.
Talking to the Warrington Guardian, Philip said: "This was a real labour of love. I love being from Warrington and really think something like this was needed.
“The town centre has never been as good, and this will only bring more people to our town.”
Michael added: "We couldn't have done this without the support of our family and friends.
“Our partners and parents have really rallied behind us to make our dreams come true.”
Level Up is open seven days a week from 11am to 8pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 11am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday.
