IT may only be October, but the countdown is on for Bonfire Night in Warrington.

Each year, spectacular firework displays are held across the town.

So to help you plan ahead, here are some of the events being held for the occasion this year:

Warrington Wolves

Warrington Wolves will be hosting its annual firework display.

The Halliwell Jones Stadium will be the venue for the event on Saturday, November 4.

Known as the biggest firework display in the town, it promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment for the whole family with live music, a DJ, face painters and Wolfie.

Members get a discount on entry and tickets are available for both standing and reserved seating.

Doors open at 5.30pm with the fireworks show starting at 7pm.

Gulliver’s World

Gulliver’s World has announced a ‘fireworks spectacular’ which will be taking place on November 4.

The family show will run from midday until 7.30pm and guests will be able to enjoy hours of theme park rides, attractions and entertainment.

The day will be completed with a spectacular fireworks display.

 

Spooky World

A bonfire and fireworks display will be taking place at Spooky World.

Apple Jacks Adventure Farm in Stretton will be hosting the event on November 5.

Limited tickets will be available so those interested are advised to book now to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are £11 per person and entrance is from 6.30pm with the show starting around 7.45pm.

 

Thelwall Parish Hall

This family-friendly event will be taking place at Thelwall Parish Hall on November 4 for the 20th year running.

Doors open from 5pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the display will begin at 6.45pm.

There will be a variety of food on offer as well as a number of fairground rides for children.

“The show of fireworks leaves the audience spontaneously breaking into applause in admiration each year,” a spokesperson for the event said.

Family tickets are £30 while adult tickets are £12 and children tickets are £7.

It is a pay-on-the-door event.

Lymm Fireworks

The Lymm & District Round Table Charity Fireworks night takes place at Cherry Tree Primary School on November 4.

A family-fun night of entertainment is guaranteed – with funfair rides, game stalls and face painting – along with food and drink.

Adult tickets - £12, child (under 16) - £6, under 3s - free.

Event opens at 6pm. Children's fireworks at 6.45pm, main display at 8pm.

Stockton Heath Scout Hut

Family Fireworks and Bonfire, Stockton Heath, November 4.

Silver Jubilee Bridge

It may not be in Warrington, but it is only down the road.

Halton’s fireworks spectacular will take place atop the Silver Jubilee Bridge on November 5.

The build-up will start at 6.30pm from the viewing areas on the promenades at West Bank in Widnes and Mersey Road in Runcorn.

The fireworks will be set off at 7.30pm.

The Saracens Head

The Saracens Head on Wilderspool Causway will be hosted a free event on Friday, November 3.

A bonefire will be lit around 5pm before a 15-minute firework display takes place at around 7pm.

Food will be served on the night, with a limited menu available.
