A WARRINGTON woman has been left with ‘pain and trauma’ after being attacked by a dog.
Safoora Hanif was delivering letters in Baguley, Manchester, as part of her job as an anti-social behaviour officer when a husky bit her.
The block of flats she was delivering to on Altrincham Road did not allow pets – however, someone had a dog without permission.
Safoora, from Warrington town centre, has been left with a wounded hand that required both surgery and stitches.
She is unable to work until her hand recovers.
The incident happened on September 26 and as of this week, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson has confirmed that no one has been arrested for the incident at present.
Aside from the physical pain, 28-year-old Safoora has been left with trauma from the incident.
She now wants to raise awareness of dog attacks and believes more should be done.
Safoora said: “I have gone through so much pain and trauma from this and would not want anyone to have to go through this as I have.
“More needs to be done to raise awareness.”
