TWO migrants residing in hotels in the area are to be sentenced for their illegal entry into the UK.
Ramadn Refaiy and Rashed Abdullah will appear before the crown court later this month to learn their fate after breaking the law through their entry into the country.
Refaiy, aged 26, has an address listed on court documents as Daresbury Park Hotel, on Chester Road in Daresbury.
He faces two identical charges of arriving in UK without a valid entry clearance, contrary to the Immigration Act 1971.
These state that on August 21 this year, at Dover in Kent, being a person who required entry clearance under the immigration rules, he knowingly arrived in the UK without a valid entry clearance.
Abdullah meanwhile, aged 34, and whose address was listed as Holiday Inn, on Woolston Grange Avenue in Woolston, is charged with a sole count of attempting to arrive in UK without a valid entry clearance.
This is again contrary to the Immigration Act 1971 and states that on August 17 this year, he knowingly attempted to arrive in the United Kingdom without valid entry clearance.
The cases of both defendants were heard before Chester Magistrates’ Court, where they indicated guilty pleas to all charges before them.
They are therefore convicted, with magistrates remanding them both in custody and committing their cases to Chester Crown Court to be sentenced later this month.
