WORKERS at the Boots store on Gemini Retail Park are overjoyed as the company has finally addressed the store's soaring temperatures.
A number of concerned parties had been in touch with the Warrington Guardian this year regarding high temperatures in the store.
At one point, it was alleged that contractors refused to fit new air conditioning systems due to there being dead rodents in the ventilation ducts.
One employee even told the Warrington Guardian that a customer had almost fainted due to the uncomfortably high temperatures in the Boots store.
Now, however, these temperatures are a thing of the past.
Following a number of Warrington Guardian articles raising the issues plaguing the store, Boots has confirmed that the air conditioning systems have been 'fully replaced.'
Contacting the Warrington Guardian, the store manager of the Gemini site, Jacob McWhan, said: "Over the past few months I have been made aware there were multiple reports published over the working conditions in the store.
"Since being here, the air conditioning units have been fully replaced and the working conditions are back to being excellent."
One of the individuals who works at the site said: "It's a better environment to work in.
"Thanks for all your help from me and the staff at Gemini."
